Anhydrous   (94% min) :   White granules/powder, extremely hygroscopic, for desiccants, deicing, oil   drilling.   Dihydrate (74% min) : White flakes, most common grade, for   deicing, dust control, refrigeration, water treatment.   Liquid (30%-45%) : Solution for water treatment, drilling fluids,   coolants.   Food Grade : Purity ≥98%, meets FCC/USP, for tofu coagulant,   beverages, cheese processing.

Physical   Properties

White   solid, highly soluble in water (exothermic), strong hygroscopicity; anhydrous   density 2.15 g/cm³, m.p. 772℃; dihydrate density 1.85 g/cm³, loses water at   ~175℃

Exothermic   dissolution, low freezing point (< -50℃); strong moisture absorption;   non-toxic; low cost, widely used.

Main   Applications

Deicing: Airports, highways,   bridges, parking lots – economical and efficient.   Desiccant: Drying of gases, liquids, organic solvents; household   dehumidifiers.   Dust Control: Mines, unpaved roads, construction sites.   Refrigeration: Brine coolant for freezers, ice rinks.   Oil Drilling: Drilling fluid weighting agent, mud conditioner,   completion fluid additive.   Water Treatment: pH adjustment, calcium supplement, flocculation aid,   phosphate removal.   Food: Tofu coagulant, cheese processing aid, electrolyte fortifier in   beverages, pectin gelling agent.   Construction: Antifreeze / accelerator in concrete, improves early   strength.   Agriculture: Calcium fertilizer to prevent deficiency (e.g., apple   bitter pit, tomato blossom end rot).   Others: Tire ballast weight, leather dehairing agent, antifreeze,   analytical reagent.
